Elizabeth Singleton

Having personally experienced depression and homelessness, Elizabeth has dedicated her life to helping those who are affected by mental illness. In February2009, Elizabeth opened her first supportive, independent apartment community for those living with a mental illness and other forms of disabilities.

Elizabeth became frustrated with the lack of access to mental health services and resources after the deep budget cut in 2010 to those receiving service. She began saving money and asking
friends and family to help her create a news outlet to be the voice for our community. Today Elizabeth has helped and housed over 2500 individuals and families. She loves being an Advocate.

Alongside leading her organization and radio show, Elizabeth is a mother, friend, and concerned community advocate. She is a regular contributor to AZ Central, where she provides important news in support of local businesses, parenting issues, and mental health awareness. Visit www.ThePulseAZ.com and www.SingletonHousing.com to find out more information about Elizabeth.

Elizabeth is the Communications Director for Maricopa Alliance for Shelter and Housing (MASH)

She also sits on the board on the new Phoenix Police
Departments Cross Disability Citizens Advisory Panel and The Alliance for Crisis Management and Safety.
