Our Services 

Housing

Build us H.O.P.E. believes that individuals should have access to a decent, safe, clean, and affordable place of their choice when it comes to housing. Programs in the past have had greater outcomes and measurable success when they do not limit an individual’s choices, but enhance them instead. We collaborate with other agencies to ensure that individuals have all of the housing supplies they will need to move in. Housing services will include:​​
  • Developing an individualized housing service plan that will be updated annually
  • ​New tenant orientations
  • Assistance with move in
  • Community Centers
  • Resource Assistance
  • Locating, obtaining, and maintaining suitable housing (on and offsite)

Education

Build us H.O.P.E. understands an individual’s needs and preferences will change over time, so in order to ensure individuals are receiving maximum benefit from our programs we provide multiple classes that teach individuals with disabilities different life skills that are necessary to achieve their goal to live independently. Education classes will include:​​

Vocational

Build us H.O.P.E. recognizes that financial independence is an important factor in increasing an individual’s satisfaction with our program. It is one of our goals to ensure that individuals leave our program at a higher income level than when they first entered. Vocational Services will include the following:
  • Employment readiness training
  • Job retention services
  • Access to a computer lab with desktop computers, printers, a copier, and a fax machine
  • Assistance with developing a winning resume that will make them competitive in the marketplace
  • Provide space onsite for potential employers to conduct interviews

Case Management

​Build us H.O.P.E. comprehends that in order to provide the highest level of individualized service we will include case management services as part of our program. We believe that by directly engaging with individuals and building trust by getting to know the individuals in our program we will provide the opportunities needed to accomplish their goals. Case managers will provide tenants with the following:
  • Support with identifying and achieving goals
  • Develop an Individualized Service Plan
  • Assist with socialization and recreational activities
  • Contribute to building activities of daily living skills
  • Provide referrals to offsite community resources
  • Engage individuals to help build a sense of community
  • Document and maintain case records

Supportive Services for Veterans 

BUH Supportive Housing program is designed for individuals who might not require a structured program to maintain permanent housing, but who would benefit from continuing supportive services.
  • On-site and Off-site  case management services
  • ​Job assistance
  • Support groups
Housing Services
  • Rental assistance
  • Sobriety support 
  • Individual and group counseling, peer support 
  • Job assistance for veterans who have a financial need, who are seniors or have a medically-certified disability.
Independent Living Skills
  • Money management,
  • Maintenance of physical and mental health
  • Developing problem-solving skills
  • Social skills and healthy recreation activities
